I planned a move from Queens New York to Miami Beach FL. I started in April and was in touch with US-1 Van Lines. Everything was arranged with a pick up date of June 9th for an estimated drop of date of June 18th. In addition I had been quoted $1537.00 for the move. On June the 9th they moved my furniture but charged me 42% higher than the estimate so I now had to pay $2187.00. Furthermore my furniture never left their NY storage until well after June 18th, they told me it left June 23rd and would arrive between June 27-30. Today July 2nd my furniture finally arrived, however, they could not drop it off because their 18-wheeler does not fit. Now they have to take it back to their warehouse off load it on to a smaller truck and redeliver it and charge me another $450.00. Furthermore 5 of my colleagues used them this month to move and THE EXACT same thing happened to my friend in Ft Lauderdale yesterday. The truck was too big they still have his furniture and will charge him another $450.00!!! This is 100% wrong from beginning to end!
