I made an online reservation for a hotel stay (Fairfield Inn) in Rapid City SD through the website, www.haveanicestay.com, which came up when I searched through Expedia. The confirmation page indicated that any cancellations had to be made through the same website, which I did 3 weeks BEFORE the dates for the reservation.
Since that time the hotel has charged our credit card for the cost of the room. When discussing with them, their records show we made the reservation through a travel agent, but that it was never cancelled.
When we inquired further, the said the reservation was made through Travel Today Price Right in Springfield, Missouri. They gave the address as 2139 B E PrimeRose Ste B. We have NEVER talked or worked with ANYONE at that site/location.
This appears to be a case of misrepresentation in addition to fraud. When we search the site now for our confirmation information, the site can no longer connect.
