Travelbridge Air, Land, Sea bull Rip-off. Thank you, Rip-off Report!!!

Submitted: 9/7/01 Modified: 9/7/01 About 2 nights ago I rec'd a call from George!! He was with Travelbridge and told me I had signed up for a free vacation at Coral Square Mall and I had won!! Yeah, right!! Luckily I did not believe him or trust him for a minute. He told me his travel business was in the North Ridge shopping mall in FtLauderdale. ***First of all I could tell in his voice he was not for real and I could hear all kind of people talking in the background like they were all on the same type of phone call.*** And his travel business was celebrating their 1st anniversary here in FtLauderdale. I could choose from 2 vacations: one to LasVegas or one to New Orleans. All I had to do was to come in to their "party" and spend about an hour to see the place and to see how they could save me all kinds of money on my travel. I could go in the next day either at 4pm or 6pm. I told him I thought I could make the 4pm. Well, he wanted to know for sure if I could make it !! I told him most likely I could and then he said, well maybe I should make the 6pm. No, I would stick with the 4pm. Luckily, I decided not to go - that would have been yesterday. Well, today when I got home...a call and yes from GEORGE. He wanted to know what happened. I told him I was busy and he wanted me to re-schedule. I told him that if I won a free trip he could mail the tickets to me. He told me it would only take an hour. I could come in this weekend!! Nope, I told him I was busy all weekend. He kept tormenting me and I told him no, I was too busy. And I had noted from both of his phone calls.... on my caller ID that it was "out of area". Plus when he was telling me where his business was I said, oh next to the Dunkin Donuts. He only kept saying... between the Swiss Chalet and Denny's. Well, I knew the area well and he did not seem to know it well. So, I thought I would just ck out Travelbridge out on the internet and boom your site here regarding the scams.
