I just read the posting from the Travelers Advantage employee who said the company charges people without sending any real information about the products that are being offered - I believe this to be the heart and soul of the company - RIP OFF! I never got anything containing my card, or my membership number or how to use my membership priveledges. The employee letter I read says the letters they send look like junk mail - but I open everything - especially the things that don't have a return address. I'm SURE I didn't miss it. I'm fairly positive I didn't receive anything at all.

I did call and they apologized and said they would have it out to me right away. I decided I would give them the benefit of the doubt and see what I got in the mail. After 3 weeks I decided to call to see where my stuff was and I got "Ma'am, we show that your information packet was mailed to you on Oct. 3 and it takes about 10 days for delivery, so you should be receive it at the latest on the 17th." I really wanted to just cancel right then and there, but I thought - no I still want to see what my membership priveledges are, so I'll see what comes in the mail.

Well -today's Oct 24th and I still haven't gotten a d**n thing. Well - that's not true I've gotten magazines and advertisements for the trips/hotel discounts I can purchase with Travelers Advantage. BUT HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT WITHOUT A MEMBERSHIP CARD OR NUMBER??? I CANNOT!!! They know this. Don't you think it's strange they manage to send ads and promotions, but not cards and actual user information??? It's their way of offering a service without having to provide a single thing in return. This is the biggest ripoff ever.

And the reason I got involved was through BUDGET RENTAL CAR who signed me up by offering some pretty sweet sounding deals. FYI - I'm cutting and pasting this message to them - along with a note that says I WILL NEVER RENT A CAR FROM THEM EVER AGAIN - NO MATTER HOW LOW THEIR PRICES ARE. THEY COULD OFFER ME A FREAKIN SUV FOR 2 WEEKS FOR $5 AND I WOULDN'T TAKE IT.

And finally, the reason I accepted the offer in the first place was because I was planning a group trip to Mexico - the prices I saw online were so much lower than the prices I saw in the TA magazines - we got a much better deal booking through our travel agent. SO PLEASE DON'T SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE. IT'S A RIP!!! Oh yeah, I'm going to search for more TA web postings, and paste this there too.
