This man and his "supposed" company take your money initally and give you an address you can choose from. Unfortunately the address I chose is not recognized by the USPS in the fashion Mike Puckett states via email is the correct address. When I filed with the BBB I had stated that numerous companies, including credit card companies, the USPS itself, and banks stated the way I was given the address was not valid with the USPS. They tried it a few different ways.

Therefore, when Mike wants a form 1583 which the USPS provides one would think he would KNOW how the USPS wants an address because it's kicked out of the system the way he states in email you are supposed to have it. Hence your notary -when checking on it, makes you edit what she sees as potential issues... we tried, but that's not the way MIKE wanted it. She was not happy signing off, told me to notify the BBB about his suspicious activities, and when Mike Puckett didn't like that the BBB notified him, he refunded my money but did not speak of how that address is not legit as written. He's in my opinion useless, lacks CS skills as far as answering why that address is not acceptable via all these companies... my mail is probably going to be taken by him and his team...My notary suspected fraud, and hence why a lawyer is retained and looking into this further because we know the address he gave me isn't recognized by the USPS for sure!

Which address did the OP use?

AUTHOR: Jim (JR) - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 12, 2016

I am looking for a mail-forwarding service, since I am going to be shipping out to Europe soon, and I found this article when researching Travelling Mailbox.

1.  I am not an employee of the company.

2.  I am not a customer of the company.  At least not yet.

3.  I am not a "Travelling Mailbox" fan-boy.

4.  I am not getting paid to write this.

All that being said. . .

I went to the Travelling Mailbox site, and chose one of the addresses that they listed on their "addresses" page (https://travelingmailbox.com/addresses) so that I could go to the USPS site and verify the accuracy/acceptability of the address.  By using the "Find a Zip-Code" link you can input any address you want and get the US Mail "Standardized" address - if the address exists - or a message telling you that the address is bogus.  You can also compare the returned zip-code against the one provided.

I used the following Sanford, NC address:

500 Westover Dr #1234
Sanford, NC 27330

I entereed the "500 Westover Dr." in the "Address" box.

I entered the #1234" in the "Apartment number" box.

I entered the city as "Sanford", and the state as "NC"

I received the following reply:

500 WESTOVER DR # 1234
1234
SANFORD NC 27330-8941

The zip code matches.  The address was returned as a "USPS Standardized Address".

Viewing the standardized "Mailing Industry Information" which is provided so that pre-sorted mail can be bar-coded properly, returned the following concerning this address:

Carrier Route        R031
County                 LEE
Delivery Point Code 00
Check Digit          3
Commercial Mail Receiving Agency Y
LAC™
eLOT™              0031
eLOT Ascending/Descending Indicator A
Record Type Code S
PMB Designator
PMB Number
Default Flag
EWS Flag
DPV Confirmation Indicator  S
All this would lead me to believe that the address provided - at least for Sanford NC. is a true and valid adddress.
If the OP would provide the address he used, perhaps we could figure out what the issue is?
What say ye?
Jim (JR)

Obviously the person who rebutted works for them

Anyone who utilizes Yelp knows how to work it. Google yelp and the name of the business or throw it in the yelp search bar. So I don't believe for one minute that you are some random individual looking for yelp but stumbling upon this site "by accident". Additionally many others have had issues with this business in a negative way versus positive - thus the name implies rip off. The USPS got involved as they were keeping my mail and 3 months later I got it all returned back. Total ripoff as stated and keeping it is against the law.

Using Traveling Mailbox was great.

I wanted to Yelp them a positive review and found RR instead. I've used traveling mailbox for one to one-and-a-half years, and have nothing but good things to say about them. I don't know what problems the original poster had with the USPS form, but I filled out that form with no issues for my two addresses. While I recently closed my traveling mailbox account, my new office required the same 1583 form.

As far as traveling mailbox, they have been great to use. They are very fast with completing tasks (scanning, forwarding, etc.), even on the weekends, and are a huge improvement over using a P.O. Box, both in the address you can give and the alerts and other services you can get, and their prices are very reasonable. The customer service has always been quick and very helpful.

If I was not forced into getting an office, I would continue to use them, and would easily recommend them to anyone looking for another mailing address.
