Mike Sciubba and his Uncle Jim Rooney are Thieves. My parents (in their late 70's) contracted Tri State Builders in October 2008 with a completion date of 15 December 2008. They gave Mike $2000 to start the job. Peter (their worker) came several time for a few hours and did little work and then Mike came back for another $2500 and promised the job would be finished on time. My Mother doesn't speak or understand English that well and gave him the second payment and that was the last we have heard from them. Their house was a mess for the holidays and their siding in front of the house is torn off and exposed to outside weather (causing damages to the existing materials). The total contracted job was for $7000.00. So they rip-off older people. Mike and Jim will not return phone calls.

Please check RipOff report for United Builders or Mike Sciubba. He does not keep his word. He also gave us a punch list 2 years ago. The only time we saw him was when he came to collect money. Oh - the stories he told us...how could you not believe him. Please beware! Our 4 week project lasted over a year with him before we finally had to pay someone else. When we could get ahold of him, he made our life miserable with irate phone calls and broken promises. Please, please be careful. Keep all records of phone calls, payments, etc. Although that doesn't mean much because he just keeps opening up under different companies. The laws don't really seem to protect the consumer and he knows this.

This posting is a complete fabrication of the true facts. At no time did Tristate Builders ever steal anything from anybody, at no time did we ever meet with a 70yr. old couple without other family members present who handled all negotiations and payments for the job, at no time did we ever leave their house in a mess their house was in shambles when we met from a prior contractor they hired who did not complete the work, at no time did we ever disapear or become uncommunicatable with regard to the job.
Tristate Builders will not in anyway be exploited or tortured into abiding by anyone elses wishes.
