My husband had received an offer from Tribute Mastercard, stating that he was approved for their credit card, but would need to send in $29.00 to activate the card.
My husband asked me to pick up a money order and send it in with the paperwork, accepting their offer. Weeks went by and he never received his card, or his money back, so I sent them an email asking what was happening on their end. I never received any reply. I did give them my name as well as my husbands.
Today, I received a letter from them stating they couldn't approve my application for their credit card. I never sent them an application. My husband had already been approved.They didn't return our money, never gave us any explaination, never sent my husbands card. Now, as I do a little search on their reputation, I'm finding out they are ripping other people off.
We aren't rich. We want our money back. We don't even want their credit card. I'll stick with Visa. Never any problems with our Visa cards. We are speaking with BBB now about this.

I am a customer with Tribute Mastercard myself. I haven't had any problems with them, but from reading your complaint, it sounds like they did rip you off. I got an invitation in the mail for their credit card as well, but I was never asked to send them $29.00. I got my card in the mail within two weeks. The only payment I had to make was a $20.00 payment which is considered your first monthly payment, and you have to make this payment in order to begin using your card. I haven't had any problems with them since. If you paid them the $29.00 by money order, you can easily track it to see if it's been cashed or not. They have no right doing that to you and I am sorry that happened. People can't be trusted in this day and age. It's sad. I hope some how you get your money back.
