Trimigliozzi Construction - Joey Trimigliozzi DISHONEST! Fraudulently represented himself as licensed contract - Breach of Contract, Left job incomplete after being PAID Raleigh North Carolina

We hired a "licensed contractor", Trimigliozzi Construction (Joey Trimigliozzi), or so we thought, back in September 2003 to perform major renovations on our home. Only to just find out that he is not a "licensed contractor" in NC, but fraudulently represented himself as licensed contract. He also tricked us into putting our name on the one of the permits under General, saying it would be cheaper to just put Homeowner as the General Contractor and not knowing any better and trusting him, we did.



This project was over 60K, which you must be a licensed contractor to perform, again we just found this out.
As this project proceeded, this contractor would show up for a few days each week doing demolition work, then demand 2nd and final payments, threatening to walk off the job if we didn't pay.

On July 17, 2004, this "contractor" removed the roof over our new completed den and kitchen/laundry room area and did not secure plastic to protect the downstairs. We had been on vacation and returned on Saturday, July 17th. That night, it rain extremely heavy and flooded our new room, kitchen and laundry room. Thankfully his insurance covered the expense in repairing this damaged; however, to date he still hasn't fixed it. We have lived without a kitchen for nearly 5 months now.

At this same time, he continued to demand payment in full before certain projects were completed, stating that if we didn't pay he would walk off this job and leave this mess, and if we took him to court that he would only be required to pay us back $1.00 a month for the rest of his life. Not knowing what to do, we paid, obviously being black mailed into this.



Well on December 6, 2004, not having completed anything with our home, he again demanded more money, which we refused to pay until this house was finished - left the job incomplete and my house nearly demolised. He has been paid over $150K, with less than $8K owed to date and our home is a complete disaster!!!!

Here it is Christmas and we have no place in our disaster of a home to put a Christmas Tree. We are living in 2 rooms downstairs as a kitchenette and den and luckly we have our bedrooms upstairs. Mr. Trimigliozzi just purchased a new home (in his father's name) on 11/19/2004, for $212,500 where he can enjoy a wonderful Christmas. He also purchased a new Ford Pickup several months ago - I guess with our money!!



I know you won't believe them, but these are actual pictures of how he left our home on December 6, 2004 with over $150K of our money.
