I too have been a victim of this scam . Eventhough in the past I have had something similar happen to me, I still fell for their ploy. On 2-7-07 a young man came to my door sellling magazines. I was very hesitant but he convinced me to buy a subscription after telling me his sad story of being a recovering drug addict and trying to make a better life for himself.

We spoke for about 10 minutes, he was very charming. So I gave him $30 for a subscription to Nick Jr. It is now 6-13-07 and I still have not received my subscription. I called the number on the receipt-SURPRISE it is disconnected. I tried their web site, it no longer exists. I should have gone with my instincts. Never again am I going to buy anything from a door sales person. I don't care how sad their story is TOO BAD! SO SAD!
