Trio Tire & Tire Rack Rip-Off! Mount & Balance, Customer Supplied Tires! Cherry Hill New Jersey

I just ordered 4 new Kumho from www.TireRack.com and with upon closing of the online sales order, Tire Rack shows places in your area via zip code search that will do the Installation of your new tires. I have in the shopping center where I work one of the places of the installers called Trio Tire. On 09/10/04 I walked in and told the guy that I have 4 new tires and I need them installed, balanced and new valve stems.

He asked me, "May I ask were you picked up these tires?" and I said, "Tire Rack.com and your one of the installers listed." He said, "No problem" and asked for my keys. I said, "I am a Business owner of the store across the way" and he told me next time I should come here instead because He would give a 10% discount of my next tires. I said thanks and gave him my office phone number and said I would be back in 2hrs or so just give me a call. He said it will not take that long.

He was correct because 37 mins later he called me and said the car was done come and get it when you can. I walked back into Trio Tire and got a big surprise! $105.79 for 4 tires mounted! I said you guys are way expensive. He became confrontational and started to say Well, You're a Business Owner and I have lost over 20% in sales. Then I said I understand but over $100 buck for a mount & Balance?

I asked if this was a Lifetime Balance and he said no. I then asked about there normal Per Hour labor charge and he told me we are cheaper than anyone at $45 per Hr, If you go elsewhere it will be $85. I paid my Bill with my American Express and started to walk out the door shaking my head for the 2.5 hrs rate ($99.80 on by printed bill)I was charged and this guy said to me on the way out, Sorry for the Price shock.

What a RIP OFF these guys is and now I can say that there business is going to be about 21% LESS. I will never RECOMEEND TRIO TIRE FOR ANYTHING. NOTHING! I buy tires from www.Tirerack.com all the time with no problems by the way, and they are real good people but just watch out for the places listed as installers for there tires because they will RIP YOU OFF FAST! Get the price before you walk out and hand them the keys to your car.
