You will be very impressed with the sales pitch in the beginning and they will take care of everything when it comes to OSAP, once I was in that's when I started seeing that particular program that I started is not what the educational consultant described it to be. Web Technologist course sounds good on paper but in reality, it is not worth even a quarter of what they ask for it. Books are useless, and very little is done with the book.

I started in JavaScript corse and was told that modules are not connected at all and that I can start anytime. HTML is a must before javascript, nobody told me that. I am a person with a disability and because of all the unnecessary stress that they put me through within three months, my mental and physical strength deteriorated and my doctor suggested that I take a month off. After a month I was still unwell and needed more time.

They could not accommodate and just withdrew me from the program. Total program cost with books was over $20000 and after 3 months I was stuck with $5200. Javascript course I had to redo because I was catching up with HTML, after that it just became a game of catch up. I tried to work with the school and the Trios Main Office, even spoke with campus director who was very rude and basically said that I have to retake javascript (funny fact is that on javascript exam with the minimum knowledge I scored 97%, three-hour open book and google exam.

I got in touch with trios main office after a survey and they told me to speak to campus director, no followup... I really feel like the lack of honesty and only chasing the money and not really providing make Trios College a scam, I will be following up with the ministry and any other possible free legal help that I can get. Living on low fixed income and having to pay back almost a yearly income for something that caused me so much stress and little knowledge is too much.

P.S Received a letter from the Ministry saying that Trios College put me on academic probation.. 3 Weeks after I got kicked out.
