Trip, Travel, Cruise, & Vacation Insurance

IF YOU PURCHASED ANY TRAVEL RELATED INSURANCE SUCH AS: TRIP INSURANCE VACATION INSURANCE CRUISE INSURANCE OR AIRLINE INSURANCE THAT WAS PROVIDED OR RECOMMENDED BY AN ORGANIZATION SUCH AS: AMERICAN OR CONTINENTAL AIRLINES CARNIVAL OR ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE LINES ANY TRAVEL AGENCY OR AN ONLINE TRAVEL PROVIDER LIKE HOTWIRE.COM OR PRICELINE.COM YOU MAY BE A VICTIM AND ELIGIBLE TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK

With the proliferation of the internet more and more people are purchasing their vacation packages, cruises, and airline tickets online. In addition to offering their regular products online many airlines, cruise lines, travel agencies, and travel websites also offer or recommend insurance policies or companies that cover travel related expenses.

Through these policies today's travelers can purchase coverage for everything from their luggage to the cost of their entire vacation package - should an event occur that causes the loss of their luggage or the cancellation of their trip.

They can even insure their reservations. While this online system of offering and purchasing travel related insurance may seem convenient its compliance with insurance laws is, in many cases, questionable.

If you or someone you know has purchased travel insurance through an airline such as American or Continental Airlines, a cruise line such as Carnival or Royal Caribbean cruise lines, a travel agency such as STA Travel or an online service such as Hotwire.com or Priceline.com, you may be eligible to be part of a class action for the reimbursement of the fees you paid.

Ethical solicitation

AUTHOR: Patrick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 17, 2006

Lawyers have managed to get solicitation rules relaxed considerably, arguing that they infringe on the lawyers' First Amendment right to freedom of speech. The Code of Professional Responsibility now permits solicitation in the form of "If you have a claim, contact our firm." It even permits lawyers to obtain a copy of every personal injury accident report in a city or county and to mail a copy of that report to the injured party recommending the mailing lawyers to handle the injured person's claims. Advertising for class action claimants is common. Note television commercials for people who have contacted mesothelioma from asbestos or got an eye infection from ReNu or have had avderse reactions to Vioxx or other medicines.

A little advice

AUTHOR: Timothy - (U.S.A.)

I'm quite certain that this solicitation fails to meet the standards of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct. Whoever this firm is, they may want to consult their state's professional responsibility guidelines and make sure everything is in order.
