Here's an Option!

AUTHOR: Cindie Smart Consumer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, October 05, 2012

OK! So after reading all the reviews here I'm not going with Tronix. Ed I agree with you Joe sounds like he work for them. I was checking Tronix out because my problem is NO credit which I guess is the same thing as bad credit these days and I needed to fix it. Folks won't grant me credit because I have no established credit so I thought Tronix might be the answer, but I guess not after what I've been reading (ain't the internet great).

I know to establish credit I'm going to pay a higher price for merchandise, thats the name of the game, I used to work in the rent to own furniture business so I expected it, but getting ripped off is another story. So, this is what I'm going to do, I'm going to save the couple hundred it takes to get a prepaid credit card that costs a few extra points of interest but at least I won't have to pay 3x what I should.

Bottom line there is no quick fix to credit problems! Thanks everyone for your input it was truly helpful.

Working for me

AUTHOR: Jb - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, March 18, 2012

Lots of bad comments out there but it's actually working for us -Ups left a computer at my door then I found out my husband ordered it from tronix last month . The laptop is fine, it's Dell and then we just got some case for the computer too. And I don't really appreciate people saying we're poor or being targets because I know what I'm doing but he needs it for work and it's hard to save up because we got 3 kids ! But so far tronix is not bad mayb there's new management or something.

Yes I Could Have Waited Saving Money but..,

AUTHOR: Rhoz Gordon - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, February 02, 2012

Yes, I could have waited and saved money then bought a computer, but I wanted to start making money at home and I needed a computer to do it.  I didn't have bad credit but I didn't have any good credit either.  I've had the computer going on 3 years now and it's not a cheap piece of crap, I've worked with computers over 20 years at someone elses company and I appreciated the opportunity that Tronix Country offered.  It was still cheaper than other rent-to-own companies and I didn't have to save for months.  I'm a hard worker too, I believe in ownership too and I now own my computer, 3 in 1 printer, digital camera, mp3 player and  - I was given the opportunity to upgrade the harddrive to 4gs for free.  Still think this is a company for people who understands what they are doing - nothing dumb about that!

AUTHOR: spazitude80 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, October 16, 2011

Really?  Thats your complaint?  You can find it cheaper at walmart?  Really dude seriously of course its going to be more expensive do you have any idea that this is a rent to own place?  Your trying to fix your credit so this is going to fix your credit plus your going to get stuff out of the deal.  Get your stuff strait before you badmouth a company.  Any home choice or RTO store is going to charge you 2 or 3 times more than what its worth.  Honestly dude.

How to avoid this

AUTHOR: Dr. Cain - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, September 04, 2011

There is a simple solution:  To save money on your purchases instead of worrying about rip-offs, open a separate bank account and collect interest instead of paying it.  Further, my own research has shown that the best deal in banking you can get in from ING DIRECT(.com)  At present, they are paying 1% on savings and you pay no fees and for obvious reasons, no penalties for failing to make a payment on time.

Even better, if you open the account with a reasonable minimum, (somewhere between $50 and $150) ING will pay you a $25 05 $50 sign-up bonus.  I have been using them since 2003 have ANY complaint.  When you call you get a live person, transfers from your current bank account in either direction are free, and the checking account also has no fees and they will mail a check for you and pay the postage AND there are NO overdraft fees.  Then you dont have to deal with crooks like Tronix Country.

Honestly,

AUTHOR: Will - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, August 26, 2011

I do not believe they are doing anything illigal, as stated by all above partys the contracts were indeed sent to the homes of the customers. Anytime you recieve any form of contract you should read it all, if possible do some background research on the company. What they are doing is business, it may not be morally corrrect but neither is the way and process these products are manufactured.

Regarding the comments stating that Tronix Country targets the poor. That doesnt seem a fair assesment, if they target anyone they target people with bad credit and it makes sense on a business level. I do not agree with their policy's or their agreements, but that is why I never bought anything from them.

I am considered low income at the moment. I saved my money from my job and after 8 months had enough money I bought my Dell xps 15 from dell no payments no later fees. I was raised in a home of hardworkers that saved to own their property.

I am sorry if my above statements offended anyone. That was just a list of my opinions and views, I am not a lawyer, customer, employee or anything assosiated with Tronix Country.

Tronix Country takes advantage of the poor

AUTHOR: Stoptherat - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 10, 2011

It's amazing that companies like this are allowed to operate. They prey on the disadvantages of the low income people who can not afford to buy a tv or computer outright with cash. They will give you low end electronics for high end prices. They will not ship your merchandise until you have made 5 or more payments first. It will be a long time before you ever get your low end merchandise. So the low income or the poor have dreams. I would rather call the consumers..disadvantaged. When people have hopes and dreams to change their life or to obtain things they can not normally afford, you will see shameful companies like this one come out and make the poor even more poor. I would say that there is no difference in this than someone seeing an elderly women suffering a heart attack, and a company comes along to pretend they will help by offering mouth to mouth, but instead they are watching her die as they pick her pockets! What a scam. What a shame. How disgusting!! Don't fall for it. Your are not getting anything worth the money. Also if you can save the kind of money that you have to put in the bank so this company can take it..then you can afford  much more higher end merchandise. PS, nothing in life is free, you will  over pay by more than 3 times for everything they offer you. Think of the money you will pay, and look up ads on ebay or even Walmart and you will soon find out you are being ripped off big time...why? Because this company is taking advantage of you and every other disadvantaged consumer!

You're an idiot if you buy a computer from Tronix.

AUTHOR: Pblanton - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, April 04, 2011

I hear their ads on the radio and see them on TV, and I am always offended that they target low-income (read low-intelligence) people with their over-priced, low-grade products. If you will set aside the money you pay Tronix, in a few months you will be able to afford your own PC, and pay cash. Cash is king.

I see that many of the responses to this report are Tronix shills. NONE of the "free" products that you get with the crappy computer are worth having. Do a little research. Shop EBay looking for those "free" products and I think you will arrive t the same conclusion.

If you sign a contract with these predatory companies, then you get what you deserve. Take some responsibility for your life and your finances and quit falling for these gimmicks that only serve to keep you poor.

Tronix Company

AUTHOR: pckrlady - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 27, 2010

I did investigation on computers before I ever saw this commercial.  I can't believe Tronix would sell cheap, low-grade computers for such a high price.  I would not settle for anything less than a 4GB/500 GB Hard drive for the price they are selling theirs for.  2GB/160GB hard drive is nothing for this day and age of computers and gaming.  The computers and laptops they are selling you can just save up the $99 and the weekly payment and get the same one for probably under $200.  But why would you settle for the mediocre crap they have and save up for the real thing.  My advice, read and investigate the type of computer you want and see the prices and then check out these kind of companies.  I understand that people need this kind of company if they have bad credit, but you are paying way to much for nothing with this one.  If you can stick with their payment plan then you can put the money in the bank just as easily and get what you really want and it will be up to date!  Laura F, Beaver Dam WI USA (((Redacted)))

Tronix Country is not at fault

AUTHOR: Joey - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Mike,

It doesn't seem like Tronix Country did anything wrong. You ordered a computer after listening and agreeing to the terms and conditions. You knew the price and you also knew how long you had to wait. Just because you are having buyers remorse and no longer wish to fufil your contractual obligations doesn't mean that Tronix Country is a scam. They held up their end of the deal, and you my friend are not upholding your end. Maybe you should have done a little research on other buying options before choosing Tronix Country. It's clear that you needed Tronix Country's financing. If you had the funds available to purchase a computer outright, then you would not have called Tronix Country.

Enjoy your new computer,

Joe

Satisfied With Layaway Plan

AUTHOR: Rhoz Gordon - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 15, 2010

If you have the money to purchase a computer then you would not need Tronix Country's Layaway plan.  I've found that anything financed costs more that a "cash purchase".  When I received my computer it was everything and more than I had expected.  I also did some research and found that rent-to-own companies would have me on contract for 18 months instead of the 12 months through Tronix Country so it goes without saying that I would have paid much more on the rent-to-own plan.  I had to wait the 2 months to get the computer but it was explained to me that this was to insure the company that I was a reliable customer.  So I have my computer and I'm still making payments - only 6 more months to go!  Very Satisified! Thank you Tronix Country.  R. Gordon, San Bernardino, CA USA

My experience with this company was GREAT!

AUTHOR: Rhoz Gordon - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 09, 2010

I was worried when I read this report - I had just sent in my form accepting the Revolving Charge agreement - but I'm glad to say I did receive my computer with no problems.  As in anything financed the purchase price is going to be higher than if you had the money to just purchase the product right away.  I'm not sure I'd say the price was 3 times more.  When I originally called the company to order the computer I was offered "FREE" products.  Software, MP3 player, Digital camera, 32" LCD TV & DVD w/remote.  I didn't really look at these additional products as "FREE".  I considered the final purchase price for the computer included payments for these "FREE" products which made the price a great savings package.  If I were to purchase the "FREE" products and the computer I would have spent much more - so I am a very very satisfied customer. R. Gordon, San Bernardino, CA USA
