Tru Talent Management Las Vegas I felt as if a car salesman was attempting to talk me into spending my last dime on photos I didn't need. I'm on welfare, I told my agent that, and was still expected to sign the necessary paperwork. Las Vegas, Nevada

The agency clearly caters to people who have no money.  I sat in the waiting room for over an hour while I listened to the receptionist call people whom they had found on Martin Luther King and Walmart.  When I first walked in the door, I thought I was special.  After hearing her call 20 people and give the same pitch, I immediately knew it was a scam.  I was almost in tears until they told me it was at least $1500 that I don't have to get started.  I explained I was on welfare with three kids, but the agent didn't care.  They told me i could be put on a payment plan for special needs cases such as myself.  Not only did I feel like I was being treated like dirt, but I realized they had no desire to help me get started on my dream of being an actor.  I asked the agent if they had helped anyone get started on any sort of entertainment career and no body knew of anyone.  To make matters worse, I investigated what happens when people default on their payments...it turns out the collections agency that handles all of the delinquent accounts is owned by the CEOs father.  I was heartbroken.  Whether people pay their fees or not, Tru is still making money off of poor and unfortunate people.  It makes me ill, and I only pray that Karma will teach them a lesson.  This is just pure evil in the most derogatory sense.
