I bought my 2007 Mustang from Fairway Ford in late 2007. When I bought the car they had had a dual exhaust muffler system put on the car by Trucks and Moore. I had had the car for 3 days and then all the sudden my mom and I were sitting in the back seat on a trip to Savannah and the muffler started making a loud noise - it was bouncing up and down against the frame of my car! The muffler then proceeded to FALL OFF OF MY CAR on the interstate!
My husband was really pissed off and so was I - we called Trucks and Moore and they were nice and said they would fix it - no problem. We took the car in to them and they fixed it right away. Problem solved - or so we thought. About 2 months later my husband ordered some back window louvers for my car and did this through Trucks and Moore. He thought "Well mistakes happen maybe the muffler was just a freak occurence" He had the louvers put on at Trucks and Moore that week.
Well for a few months the louvers did just fine. Then one Saturday we were coming home from the store and the LOUVERS FLEW OFF THE BACK OF MY CAR AND SCRATCHED THE ENTIRE BACK END OF MY CAR!! My husband was once again pissed and called Trucks and Moore. They have offered to fix the car and to replace the louvers but come on. The entire kit that holds the louvers to the windshield came off.
We were not speeding or doing anything out of the ordinary to make them come off. So far my husband is negotiating getting the car repaired with Trucks and Moore but I am very angry and wanted to leave this here for whoever thought of taking their car or truck there - BEWARE! I mean come on - have a brand new car and have 2 DIFFERENT ACCESSORIES FALL OFF THE CAR 2 DIFFERENT TIMES???

Larry Moore loves to excuse his mistakes and pretend to take responsibility, but when it comes to actually making things right, forget it. He still owes me almost $500 for a defective wheel repair. He stands behind his work alright, as long as it doesn't involve a refund.

The customer came to our store and asked that I personally take care of a situation. She explained that she had a muffler issue that had been resolved, and now had an issue with the rear window louver coming loose at highway speed and scratching the rear spoiler. After inspecting the louver, it is plainly obvious that the louver had been removed by the customer to clean the back window and re-installed incorrectly. To retain good relations with the customer, I agreed to have her spoiler painted, although we were not at fault. It is just not worth loosing a customer over a relatively easy repair.
I agreed to either pick up her car, or have her drop it off at her convenience and even gave her my personal cell #. That she has not come in or made arrangements is beyond my control. That she has posted negative comments about my company certainly makes me regretful of the offer.
While we are not perfect and will make mistakes, we have always stood behind our work. We enjoy a great reputation in our community. But perception is reality for many, as some folks will never take responsibilty for their actions, but would rather throw stones at a company that invest tens of thouands back into the area.
