I am writing to warn others of the deceitful practices of Transunion and True Credit. I signed up for my free annual credit report with Transunion and was automatically subscribed and charged monthly on my charge card by True Credit for something I knew nothing about. I was not aware of the subscription until I noticed monthly charges showing up on my charge card.
When I called True Credit through my credit card company to dispute the charges and to stop the subscription, True Credit would not stop it unless I gave them my personal information like SS# and Date of Birth, etc.
The woman I spoke with Vanessa, Employee #8130 would not even give me her last name, but insisted on my giving out my personal information in order to stop the subscription and charges. I would not give out my personal information.
I had to close my charge card in order to end the subscription and stop the charges. I swallowed the fees they charged till my account was closed. I was ripped-off by Transunion and True Credit.
BEWARE Transunion and True Credit will try to deceive you and steal from you as you try to get your supposedly free annual credit report!!!
