True Green Chem Lawn Ripoff Unathorized treatment Newport Delaware

January 2004 I received a phone call from "John" a rep from chemlawn asking me if I would like to start treatments for our lawn. I was being nice that day..normally I would have said no thanks and hung up but I was letting him do his job and tell what the treatments consisted of. I stated to John that I needed to talk to my husband before making any decisions on treatment and he would have to call me back with an answer. He said he would call back in march at the begining of the season to see what the decision was. I told him fine but don't hold his breath. My husband was not one to have his lawn touched.

End of February rolls around and chemlawn calls and calls and calls..My husband had said no and that was the end of the issue. I did not return any phone calls to Chem lawn and figured if I don't call back or say okay they will drop me from their list. Well in May I received a bill from chem lawn stating I was seriously past due in the amount of $98.00 for a treatment that was done 3/26/04 and the bill is in my Husband's name who NEVER spoke to a rep at chemlawn. I did not call back Chemlawn to tell them to treat my lawn. I did not set up an appointment and tell them to come on out. What gave them the authority to come out when no one was home, treat our lawn and leave not notice that they were even there?

I contacted the branch via email and received a letter back from Monica Wilson the office manager stating that I spoke to "John" they have it on tape and if I had called back to set up and appointment or cancelled then it would have saved ups both some time and money. Well if you never agreed to it in the first place, there was nothing to cancel. Then the letter went on to state that the lawn tech should leave and invoice at the time of treatment and he failed to do so. For that reason she was going to charge us just $49.48 for the treatment. Then said if I had any other questions to call her.

I wrote Ms. Wilson back and told her I was not going to pay a dime for treatment that was never authorized and I did not recieve the 10 point report on my lawn that was supposed to be done before treatment and well my husband was now dragged into something he had nothing to do with. I stopped receivind the notices recently and well I never heard back from Ms. Wilson. But after reading here..i'm going to see if there is a lien on our house. Chemlawn should be out of business for just spraying lawns. We don't know what they are spraying them with and if they could harm the animals or kids. Our lawn hasn't looked the same since.
