Just one more report on the True Vision, Inc. scam. I bought a renewal magazine subscription back in May 2008. Same story as the others here, the well-dressed young man claimed he was trying to get back on his feet and was selling magazine subscriptions to do so. Because this was a renewal, I wasn't immediately concerned. Once I started receiving notices from the magazine that my subscription was about to run out, I knew something was up.
I'd actually searched for the True Vision, Inc. company on ripofferports prior to making the purchase and it turned up nothing, unless I missed it. No database is perfect.
Sidenote: If you search for True Vision here, you'll find a few "rebuttals" posted by an "employee" known as 1mickey. My "salesman" was Mickey Clements, and I wonder if it isn't the same guy hoping to screw a few others out of their money.

i had a gentleman come to my door asking for a hand up. he was using selling magazines as a way of developing skills and setting goals for his future. he was dressed nice and had alot of courage for admitting he made some mistakes. i didnt feel sorry for him, i just placed myself in his shoes if you will. to make a long story short, i invested $1190.00 dollars for twelve magazines. four months passed, so i called the number on my receipt. i figured the number to be disconnected. a gentleman answered and took down my information to check the status and told me about some problems they were having. he told me to wait til october. by october 3rd i received four magazines. i checked with my daughter and she received her three. so i just waited. between october 30th and october 31st, i received the other five and the four that started october 3rd. i just had to tell my story. i felt it was my duty to express my joy of wanting to help others who are out working to help themselves.
