True Vision, Inc. Magazine Sales Scam Chesapeake Virginia

On June 2, 2008 a young woman named LaWanda S. came to our door and gave a sales pitch about how she was impoverished, single-mother selling magazines through True Vision in order to earn points or credit for going back to school. Having had a positive experience with a different solicitor years earlier, we listened to her pitch and decided to purchase a subscription to National Geographic.

Sadly, no magazines have arrived and the check was cashed almost immediately. Calling the phone number listed on the receipt goes to voicemail. Several messages have been left, none have ever been returned.

We have initiated complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Indiana Attorney General. I would suggest everyone else who has been scammed by this company do the same. Perhaps enough complaints will get the attention of law enforcement and stop these crooks from scamming anyone else.

On the receipt LaWanda noted her manager was "Jason M". The Virginia Clerk's office listed the Registered Agent of the company as Jason Meredith. Beware of this man.
