One evening I was called by a representative from Trust Benefits offering a visa or mastercard with a credit limit if $2000. ALl i had to do was give an initial processing fee of $299. They assured me that it was a major credit card. They said they work with over 40 major banks. The money was debited from my account. When I received the package, all it was a a folder of junk including a merchandise catalog that offered no was to actually order the merchandise (not that I would since all the products were marked up about 300%).

Several days after the trust benefits called, I received a call from Financial benefits offering the same thing. So, stupidly I went along with it (by this point, I had not received the original package). The debitied the money from my account. When I received the original package, I called Financial Benefits and attempted to cancel the order, they refused, and again assured me that it was a real visa and not a catalog card that I would be receiving.

This is a very shady company. They call from canada initially, the number you are given to contact them with is in Closter, New Jersey, and the packages are shipped from NY.

I stupidly went along with what they were offering, against my better judgement, and am now out $600. ($299 for each package).
