I am writing to you to express and document my frustration and disappointment in the sales process while purchasing the new 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 4x2

On August 5, 2007, I agreed to lease the above mentioned vehicle with 85 miles on the odometer and had a sticker price of $27,575 with the following options;

Trailer Tow Group $220
Supplemental Front Seat Side Air Bags $490
4-Speed Automatic Transmission $825
AM/FM Stereo Radio w/In-Dash 6-Disc DVD/MP3 Player $350
SIRIUS Satellite Radio $195
18" Aluminum Wheels $165
Locking Fuel Filler Cap $15

On August 6, 2007, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle specified on the Motor Vehicle Lease Agreement, it had fewer options and a sticker price of $27,190. The vehicle delivered also had 248 miles on the odometer, 163 miles over what was specified on the Agreement. The delivered vehicle had the following options missing;

Trailer Tow Group $220
18" Aluminum Wheels $165

I did not realized this until I signed all the paper work and was about to drive off. In order to correct this situation, the Sales Representative and Finance Manager at Tuttle-Click Inc had verbally agreed to switch my softop for the Freedom Top 3-Piece Modular Hard Top as a trade-off. They said that it will take about 3-6 months for them to give it to me due to their inventory. I've been calling them every few weeks since then and they keep telling me that they have a low inventory and told me to wait. They even threaten me by saying that they are not even sure if they want to give me the hardtop now because they said that I gave them a bad customer survey which i didn't because I really thought that they would honor what they promised. Its been 11 months and no hard top. I finally talked to the Manager and now he said that since I don't have it in writing, he can't do anything about it and that I actually got a good deal already. I think this is a fraud because the car that I negotiated on had more option...therefore, after negotiating I saved about $1000. The car that I got had less options...therefore, I only saved about $500. I feel like they did a switch on me hoping that I would not find out about it. And when I did, they promised me the hardtop but now they are not honoring their words. Also, I'm leasing the car so I have to pay for the extra mileage that they put on my car above what was in my contract.
