I believe a number scale of negative integers is more of fit scale for TWC. I have been in contact with TWC after they willfully and without just cause terminated my cousins services. We were not informed that his services were being suspended and temporarily interrupted. In our case, my cousin suffers a mental disorder and is fixated on certain programs. When he is not able to view these programs he becomes very violent and tends to make threats at the family.
TWC is relentlessly careless and their inconspicuous decision could have caused a tragedy in my home or possible massacre. We had a very hard time explaining to my cousin what had happened and he felt that we deliberately cancelled his services. I had to conduct my conversations on speaker phone several times so that he could be convinced of what TWC had done. We have had three accounts with TWC and all have undergone the same disaster of unexplained charges. For instance, prior to my cousin moving into the apartment in 2011 there were numerous charges of adult movies in 2007 and 2009 that appeared on my monthly bills and these were unexplained because I was caring for my mother for several months out of the year. I had addressed the issue several times with TWC and they refused to credit my account.
The scrupulous methods used in monthly charges would be unnoticeable to those who would not think to review their bill and compare bills. However, I have requested copies of bills from 2007 and the first and several other statements do not appear. I clearly remember being billed twice in one month and TWC refused to fix the issue. They begin with a bill that states I owe a previous balance of $402.00 plus current charges, which proves that TWC's billing method is confusing and misleading. A customer can pay as much as necessary and the amount is never diminished. According to TWC my husband had incurred $3,503.85 for one year.
In February, there were three statements produced concurrently. The billing period does not follow a month to month basis and I was informed that we were not charged for equipment via phone; however, the billing statements clearly posted the charges. Let us think systematically, if TWC charged a dollar more than the last bill and continued to do so gradually, then we must figure that TWC has at least a million customers and a dollar a customer would be a million dollars. This is the greatest scam of all times. I closely scrutinized my February thru April bill and found that the additional HDTV service was $2.99 and later increased by .50 cents to $3.49. There were other fluctuating price changes as well. When you accumulate cents it becomes dollars and dollars accumulate to larger amounts of money when you calculate in mass numbers and totals.
TWC's methods of pricing and charges clearly defines why customers are cancelling services. Nonetheless, the early termination fee is against federal laws and binds the customers to poor and inoperable services that are high priced. This company lies to customers at sign-up offering all sorts of catchy promotions and deliberately fail to inform customers of the fine print of the promotions. Returning back to my cousins' account, he was told that he owed only $50.00 or so after cancelling services and disputing the charge of $140.21 dollars. In a recent bill sent to our home the previous balance reflects $78.22. Now, I have confirmed more than 4 times that it was actually a little more than fifty, but less than sixty. This clearly indicates the inconsistency and their ability to modify a customers bill to their discretion. TWC has become a consumer giant through swindling customers and overcharges.
I am seeking to expose TWC and to file suit against this company for the details listed above. I think it is time that customers fight back and demand MORE...really. These companies advertise falsely and promise customers the best possible service when TWC reps lack professionalism when servicing customers. I welcome legal counsels to contact me as soon as possible.

But you are the one who said: TWC is relentlessly careless and their inconspicuous decision could have caused a tragedy in my home or possible massacre.
This does not really sound like you are confident of your control. Sounds pretty scary actually if you think missing TV could cause a mass murder. Glad I don't live next door.
Still waiting for the law information that made termination fees illegal.

You go from calling me a liar to an exaggerator to negligent. Please, if you are not familiar with my family situation nor with me personally, then you should cease your post. You do not know me personally nor the care I provide for my family. At this point, your posts are not helpful nor entertaining and are abusive. Please cease your posts if your are not going to write something critically constructive. Chances are you work for the company and are posting this because of your loyalty to this company. Of course, you will write in such a way. If you are not a psychologist nor an educator, then you should not be commenting. If you are the type of person that would much rather institutionalize your loved one then go ahead. It is your perrogative and your choice as an individual. I, on the other hand, do not believe in institutionalizing a person because of their mental disorders. My family is well equipped to take care of my cousin and have him under s doctors care. Do you know what comorbidity means? Look it up. Mind you, I'm a licensed teacher and soon to be licensed psychologist. Please do try to keep up with the real world and current events. By the way, we are in that line where you so sarcastically state that lawyers would be in line filing suit. There are other issues you are not familiar with about my situation.
Who can reason with closed minds?

- Really? Well please enlighten us on these court decisions and laws because if these fees are illegal there would be a line of lawyers in every single courthouse in the country waiting to sue. Just off the top of my head I can name at least a dozen companies that currently charging early termination fees.
To both, it is important to take these complaints seriously.
- Well when you post what sounds like BS it is very hard to do.
As back to you original post. What you are basically saying is that your cousin is mentally unstable and if he is unable to watch certain TV programs he will become violent to the point where he may go on a killing spree.
If you are exaggerating this then one has to wonder what else you are exaggerating in your report. If you are not exaggerating that then it seems as if you are being negligent and your cousin should be in a more protected facility. You can come here and say "you don't understand" or "you don't know our situation". But if you are being truthful in your cousins mental capacity then I hope you really think about what you wrote and get him more appropriate help. If his current doctor(s) don't see a problem with him being 1 TV show away from going on a killing spree then perhaps it is time to get a new doctor.
Ultimately you may have a very valid complaint about TWC but that is going to be lost when you post the things you have posted.

I want to make sure this is clear to the two individuals that have written a rebuttal to my complaint on twc: the first responder mentioned about finding early termination fees rare and almost every company charging in America. However, you are missing an important incident where early termination fees were illegal. Court judges declared it was illegal and so did federal. If I'm not mistaken it was either Sprint, T-Mobile, or AT&T. It is utterly important to keep up with current events. As for the other individual who responded negatively, ignorance causes a person to look bad and insensitivity to a particular condition makes a person look worse. Please, do not comment on matters you are unfamiliar with or something you have not experienced. I do record all calls and always call immediately after anything happens with companies like twc. I definitely do not have to prove to you what is true or false; therefore, you are welcome to post rebuttals of insignificance and of no importance. I do hope however, you are put through something far whose than I and my family have endured with twc. My reality will never be yours, but you will realize the truth when you are put through the same or something worse. To both, it is important to take these complaints seriously. People like you address the ones who end up saying OMG when something horrific happens where you felt it was only an exaggeration. By the way, people who address insensitive to mental disorders have no integrity not respect. Let one of yours suffer this and undergo what my family suffers on a day to day basis.
Please post a real comment and not senseless rebuttals of insensitivity. Thank you for the sensors ramblings that have no bearing.

Where is the truth in your report?

Let's clear the air by stating I don't believe a word that you wrote. I do research on any company I decide to use as a service provider and I can agree they all have flaws. In your case, let's get to the actual truth.
First of all, a company is not going to terminate you out of the blue. They want your money! Period! There are two reasons they will terminate your service: 1. You didn't pay your bill. 2. You violated the terms and conditions of their service. There is no "TWC has a conspiracy to cut off my cable" argument. It sounds like if I had to pick through the truth in your statement, that your wack job cousin called and threatened someone that worked their with their short temper and TWC didn't want to deal with your looney threats anymore. Sounds about right to me.
Second, your bill represents a month to month period. It may start on the 15th and go to the 14th, that is still a month! Every company does it, my cell phone provider, my electric company, my credit card company, the list goes on. All companies also bill you one month ahead of time. You don't have to pay the bill when you get it, but they send it to bring to your attention it is due at a specific time.
Third, you state you are getting charged an HD fee. That is bogus. TWC, Charter, Comcast, and Brighthouse don't charge their customers a separate HD fee. You do pay it though in the form of your cable box. You don't want HD? Get rid of your cable box.
And lastly, since I'm getting a headache from reading so much garbage, you don't get charges on your bill for Adult movies unless one was purchased. Someone purchased them! Trust me, they can find out the exact time and date, I've tracked one of my sons who did this, and they were more than willing to give me what I needed to yell at him.
So in the future, when you want someone to listen to a pointless rant about how you hate a company, at least have some substance to back your argument. If you don't, like you have in this post, you just sound like the dumb old lady who spilled coffee in her lap and wanted a payday.

"Nonetheless, the early termination fee is against federal laws and binds the customers to poor and inoperable services that are high priced."Exactly what federal law prohibits an early termination fee? Every company that I know of with a contract has the early termination clause. Cable TV, satellite TV, subscription radio, cell phones, rental leases, etc. Just think if you're correct you can initiate the ever popular class action suit on all these companies and be rich.
As for your cousin, exactly why did TWC say the termination/interruption was for? Was the bill not paid? Paid late or what? TWC has a lot of problems, I know I used to have them, but if not being able to see his shows puts your cousin over the edge then maybe you need to see about a more structured environment for him to live in. Or are you just using hyperbole to dramatize your post?
