The Cleaning Authority employee broke a sculpture in my house while cleaning it. She brought the sculpture to me in pieces and admitted to breaking it when I asked her. She denied it when asked by their insurance company, The Sentinel, owned by The Hartford. I tried to get additional info in order to proceed with my claim that was denied by The Hartford. The Cleaning Authority ceased all contact with me when I requested information and The Hartford's representative, Shari Conner at (877) 625-2652 intimidated me and threatened me with attorneys twice. She refused to provide the agent who could accept service for them in CA.
I have called and e-mailed Ty Smith, the owner of the franchise and his insurance company has requested he respond to me but he refuses.
This company is NOT REPUTABLE and their insurance company, The Sentinel, owned by The Hartford is extremely unprofessional and I would NEVER do business with them or recommend them to anyone!
DO NOT USE The Cleaning Authority and any business owned by Ty Smith!! He also uses the name LOS ANGELES CLEANING SERVICES.

I filed a claim in Small Claims Court after The Cleaning Authority's/Ty Smith's insurance company (The Sentinel/The Hartford) refused to pay based on a "he said, she said" investigation. (I wouldn't use or recommend the insurance company either but that a whole new ripoff report.)
I won in Small Claims Court for the full amount I claimed to replace my sculpture plus my court costs. I tried to contact Ty Smith and his company after I received the court's decision and HE REFUSED to acknowledge my communication/request. His arrogance is just unpalatable! I copied the cleaning company's insurance company on all of my correspondence. Interestingly, but not surprising, The Cleaning Authority and Ty Smith communicated to their insurance company that the court had NOT rendered a decision!
I faxed the court's decision to the insurance company. They paid in full within 30 days.
Do not do business with The Cleaning Authority or Ty Smith. You do so at your own risk.
Your money is better spent elsewhere with companies that display honesty, integrity and ethics. You won't find it with The Cleaning Authority or Ty Smith!
