I purchased a car ans was financed through tfcu i lost my job and was out of work for 3 months. i explained this to them and they said something could be worked out. well on thursday sept 19th.
i guy named tom came to my wifes work and asked what was going on with the car. she explained and said well if we didnt pay or make arrangements the would repo the car and take her and me to jail. since when could someone being taken to jail and harrassed at work over being behind on car payments. he then told her he didnt file the payment the paperwork with the judge yet and would give us a chance to make arrangements to catch up,so we told him we could pay a payment in 1 week and make arrangements to catch up what was past do.
he said that should be no problem,well the next day sept 20th my fiest day back to work after being out for so long the car gets repo'd. my main complaint is them coming to my wifes work and threatening to throw her in jail to me this was uncalled for. isntr there a law against that?

Preposterous...no threat with jail.

At no time does the mentioned institution threaten anyone with jail. Often when those in financial difficulty are presented with interests other than their own, they "hear" things that are not said. A loan was made for a vehicle and signed under the conditions of repayment. It's business and responsibility.
