U-HAUL - REPUBLIC WESTERN RIPOFF AFTER INSTALLING COOLER JERSEY CITY NEW JERSEY

I just really want to let people now and be aware when moving and renting equipment from this company. I learned my lesson in a very sad hard way, one that cost me a lot of money. I rented a dolley from New Jersey to Florida. I paid to have U-HAUL install an additional cooler for my Honda car to avoid over heating plus all the necessary equipment to be able to attach the dolley.

The installation perfomed in their u-haul Jersey City office. This was a dissaster, the wiring from the cooler to the transmition was done wrong and my car was damaged by the time I arrived to Florida what made it last longer was the fact that I traveled in the winter and there was enough snow on the roads to delay the wiring to wear out while driving it was so long it would rub to the road surface the installation was carelessly done. "a very poor and bad job" was the description of the mechanic that towed and later repaired my car in Florida. My car stopped moving completly and all the transmition fluid was all over the street. I contact U-Haul's insurance company Republic Western, I will never forget the name, which advised me not to move the car to have one of its agents come and asses the damage on it.

I would have had moved the car to a safer place but since the insurance company advised me to leave the car on the premisses. I removed as much as I could to the taxi that came to pick up since we just have arrived to miami for the first time. I had a 9 yr old, a 22 months old baby and my mother with me everybody was very tired from the long trip. I left the car legally parked with the help of some good samaritans. One night was all it took for this to become a nightmare. My car was broken into and everything taken from the inside. I personally think the car was not taken because it was not in driving conditions. I felt that I was physically violated not only was I upset that my car was broken into but the fact that u-haul kept giving me the running around and by uhaul I also mean Republic Western Insurance, the next morning they claimed I should have taken the car to a professional mechanic and that they would have contacted them for the claim assestment.

On top of this Republican Insurance have very unprofessional agents which do not answer at all your calls and you can only talk to a voice message and when you do contack an operator she has no idea or information about the agents. It whole situation only adds on the hell you are going through. This so called agents are also rude and treat people with disrespect(I understand they are an insurance company but that does not give them the right to be rude to people they should be trained to handle people under very stressful situations)to end this because the thought of it brings back the anger and frustration of the time the insurance returned only a 125.00 of the total of 500.25 in mechanical damage done to my car no even taking in account what was taken from the inside of the car including the radio, damage to the leather sit, broken windows, electrical damaged system they broke and disconnected the alarm in the end a 39.99 dollar cooler installation not taking in account the installation which was never returned to me have cost me a car and things that if not important were really important to my kids.

PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE HAVING UHAUL TOUCH YOUR CAR. IF YOUR ARE LUCKY TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION IT MAY AS WELL COST YOU, YOUR CAR AND THE HELL OF GOING THROUGH UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANIES THAT ARE NOT LIABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS.
