They by no suprise to me get an "F"

My wife got a 2006 Saturn Vue through United Auto credit. She payed on time every single month for two years. The vehicle was totalled in an accident, and as most know that have had accidents, insurance only pays the actual cash value of the vehicle(acv). Well I had a buyer worked out for the salvage title and I would have been able to pay the vehicle entirely off. United Auto Credit said it would take weeks to get a title. Well I have worked in the car sales industry for years and I have never heard of any dealer being willing to wait a few weeks for their title. I know a loan company will not give you a title until they get their white slip so they ask you to trust them but they don't want to trust you ha. They said they are just going to take the insurances money and do it either as a charge off or as a repo. If they do it as a repo I have every intention of suing United Auto Credit because she has never been 30 days behind on a payment, in fact she has always been on time. Even if they put it down as a charge off I may sue because I could have payed the vehicle off entirely as I did and still do have a buyer if I can get a title in the same day they get their money. Plus my insurance is paying them the actual cash value of the vehicle.  That leaves a small balance owed to United Auto credit corporation if they would let me pay them and pick up a title the same day. I will be sending them a registered letter about this as well.
