I was looking for a boxed set of DVD's and was having a lot of trouble finding it. I googled the name of the DVD that I wanted and the Ultimate DVD shop had it. I didn't want to spend that much money and should have followed my gut, but I wanted the dvds. I placed the order in the middle of July and on the confirmation, it stated that I would receive notification of my order within 48 hours. When that didn't happen, I tried calling the phone number on my order. The number was always unavailable. Not disconnected. I tried the live chat that they offer on the site and Marie said that my order was being processed and that I would receive my order the following week. I waited and nothing. I have tried the phone several times and the same thing. Nothing. I tried the live chat today and both the operators were vague and evasive.

They could not tell me when the order would be shipped. They couldn't give me any more information, so I asked for the physical address of DVD shop and Jen, the first operator disconnected our chat. I got right back on, and she disconnected again. I tried another approach. I connected about 10 minutes later with Karen and I told her that I was thinking about ordering some DVD's and that I was new to the internet, and she started raving about the company. When I asked for the physical address she said Florida, but then eventually gave me the whole address. When I asked why the phone was not working, she gave me the number to DVD Avenue. I asked if they were the same company and then she disconnected me as well. There is fraud going on here and two different company names using the same phone number. I can't get any response through email or the phone. Beware these companies.

I finally got my money back

AUTHOR: Jemini - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 12, 2007

My money has been refunded $192.00 after I called my credit card company to cancel my card. I sent several emails about how disappointed I was with their customer service etc. I also had to make 6 different calls before I finally saw the credit on my card.
Thanks Rip Off report.
