Ultimatefares.com and Cheapflightsales.com are the same company doing terrible online web travel business practices. I have recently booked a trip for my family and received an error message advising me to call in. After being on hold for over one hour, I finally got connected to a person (Indian) who could hardly speak any English nor speak it. After spemding over an hour on the phone with him as he could not understand Emglish,
He told me I did not have a reservation. I then decided not to book another flight with this company due to the type of customer service I was receiving from this Indian Man but the terrible customer service I was receiving. I then called the Airline directly and booked my flight with them. Two days later I received an email stating an Airline Itinary from Ultimatefares.com which the Indian Employee advised me there was no reservation in my name. I then called Ultimatefares again waited over an hour and got to another Indian Man and he did indeed tell me I had a reservation for my family. I was aphauled and he told me I could cancel and receive a credit with the Airlines for up to one year from date of purchase. I did not want a credit as I cant afford a credit with the airlines as I wanted my money back. I then got the corporate number and spoke to a lovely lady
(American) who was the Billing Manager and she felt terrible about what I went through.
She advised me that I was truly rigjht and I should file an Airline Chargeback as I was
Charged for airline tickets when I should not have. This wonderful employee dreaded to tell me such terrible news about the company she worked for. I was also charged for Travel Insurance which I did not select and I was on with Travel Guard for over an hour
Trying to get it refunded. Please stay away from these two terrible Web Based Companies as they will steel your momey

Randi,

I have never replied to any of your many comments regarding ultimatefares.com but I HAD to respond to this. This is the first I have seen myself mentioned in a very negative light. As per your comment, first I must thank you for mentioning that I am nice and empathetic as well. :):):):)

I DO take pride in being nice, it makes me smile to solve problems for people. I have even been able to reconcile issues you had with customers who were not happy with the way you spoke to them. They seemed nice enough to me; just frustrated with their situation and lacking the knowledge of the way the airline industry operates. As with any industry, the airlines live by rules. Rules created by them as well as government regulations as to what is and what isn't legal.

I can assure you I would never forget dealing with a customer named Randi (with and i) in the months I have worked for this company, who also happens to be from Lake Worth. I KNOW my customers as I tend to personalize each individual situation. Your name would have stood out as well considering how people speak about you in the office. Though I have never met you I have been told by several customers how difficult you were to deal with as the past Billing Manager and how they were happy to speak with someone "nice". I am sorry to say that because I really, really don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I don't understand, though, why you would now lie about ME. Why would you make up a story saying that I would tell someone to file an airline chargeback?

As you know, Randi, being very intelligent (compliment) and the Ex Billing Manager, chargebacks are truly meant for fraud. A passenger should NEVER, by any means file a chargeback on ANY charge that is not actual Fraud. If they do, they are being dishonest. The airlines have fare rules that you and I KNOW the travel agent has no control over. The airline is who offers credit for a NON REFUNDABLE airplane ticket that remains unused; not the travel agency. Are all the rules fair? That is not for me or you to decide. It is/was our job to go as far as we possibly can as the sole agent between the airline and the customer. I enjoy working with our customers many of whom are very happy when I tell them I can and will resolve their issues.

I don't blame you, Randi, for missing the job. It is exhilerating to think on the spot and solve problems. The owners are generous, good people who treat the office staff exceptionally well. I hope you find your happy place, remember to smile and move FORWARD in life. Sometimes it is healthy to just part ways and look ahead. You are obviously a very intelligent woman and I have faith that you will find your way. Keep your chin up. Things will get better soon.
