Unified Business Supply, Inc. Latex Glove Scam Denver Colorado

On 1/9/09 our nursing home received 5 boxes of gloves. Invoice was mailed. Total invoice was $590.55; $72.55 charged for freight and $518.00 for LATEX GLOVES. Our facility has not used latex gloves in years. They sent 5 boxes of gloves, charging us $103.00 FOR EACH BOX. We have NEVER ordered from them. The employee they said ordered them, does not do any purchasing. There was no PO on the invoice.

When we called to discuss the discrepancy, "Valerie" insisted our employee ordered these gloves and she talked directly to her. Our employee verified in a conference call, she did not order. "Valerie" as she called herself, called me "sweetheart", "Granny" and "Sweetheart" again as she condescendingly continued with her gross unprofessionalism.

When I told her we were sending back the product, she said to send it to a different address than what was on the invoice. She said she would "have to talk to corporate" about us not paying freight back to Colorado. I waited, and then was transferred to a "Claudia" who said she was from "corporate" and she continued to insist our employee ordered these gloves. She said she would fax a shipping label to us and when I questioned her on the address discrepancy, she seemed to become very defensive. I also complained to "Claudia" about the improper, rude behavior of "Valerie"....she apologized, but then became rude herself.
