Unifund CCR Partners - Legal Recoveries ripff as assignee of Unifund CCR Partners filed complaint in court Prospect Kentucky

August 3rd I received a Civil Summons that Legal Recoveries, Inc an assignee of Unifund CCR had filed a Complaint (using an attorney) with the court. I have never heard of these agencies nor have I ever received any communication from them. They claim I owe $2,708.52 plus interest at the rate of 8.000% per annum from October 13th, 2000 until date of judgment, then 12.000% per annum thereafter until paid. First thing of interest is the Complaint was stamped FILED DEC 21 2004 and some other office stamped it RECEIVED JAN 11 2005. I received the summons August 3rd 2006. I live in a small town and everyone knowes who I am and where I live including the sheriff's department who delivered the summons.

I don't know anything about this debt or any effort that has been made to collect it. I have addressed the court regarding a statute of limitations and hope this works, I have ask that they dismiss the action. The problem is the statute was not up when they filed the complaint, however I did not know about it until almost 2 years later...
