OK - here goes. I had a financial bust in 2003 when I lost a good job - I was 69, the girl who replaced me was 24. Since this guy was an attorney (in a small town) I knew I did not have a chance at an age-discrimination lawsuit and besides that, if I could have afforded it - why was I still working?

I tried and tried to work with my creditors and most were really kind, and let me make payments. In fact, Bank of America is letting me pay off my bill at $76 a month with no interest.

Most of my creditors have finally written off my debt as I only have social security (I know boo h*o) but sometimes it happens to the old folks.

Then one early day in September the Sheriff steps upon my porch and I find that I have been sued by Unifund CCR Partners on my Citi Bank Card that was probably written off a year ago. I tried my best to deal with Citi Bank but they would not.

In this summons was a "Consnet" Judgment to pay over $11,000 on a never more than $6,000 credit limit. They stated if I would sign the "Consent" Judgment they would accept a $90/month settlement but continue adding 23.99% interest.

I called this guy who I know who is sometimes my lawyer - he told me to tell them to "go eat peanuts" - I sent a letter and told them that but that I would be willing to settle the debt for $3500 as I could not afford to go on paying something that would never get paid.

I showed up at court and guess who was the attorney reprsenting Unifund - you guessed it - my attorney. When I tired to call him about a "Conflct of Interest" he never called back. I asked the Judge for a bench trial which was today (Oct 3rd)at 1:30. When I went to Court I found it had been "dismissed" on Friday, Sept 30th.

Do you think these people have been had? What would make them dismiss it? The Judge told me they could re=file whenever they felt like it - oh - I took a good attorney with me and we were ready but no one showed up.

These people are snakes - the Supreme Court should do something about Unifund CCR Partners (I think the CCR stands for Cold, Cunning Rats).

No Sheriff has ever walked up to my door and presented me with anything. I was never notified by these snakes - I was only presented with a "Consent" Judgment.

Unifund CCR Partners should be in Court to be abolished.
