The Truth

Untrue information, you need to sell 60% of quota- $4000 x .60= $2400. You KEEP EVERYTHING above the $2400 that you sell, which is about 7 ads at $350 each.
That's a 40% commission if you meet quota. Most jobs take about 8 days plus they pay for your hotel. Good deal in my book, made $1500 in 7 days on my first assignment. This report sounds like sour grapes from someone that can't sell.
I sent in the paperwork and payments and had a wire in my account in 48 hours. Best 1099 gig I've had.
The guest book is printed to the quality standards of the parent hotel (La Quinta, Choice, Best Western, Etc.)
True the company sends reps back annually, but that's because they have a three year agreement to provide the guestbook. As I mentioned, the guestbook is a requirement of the parent hotel, and is expensive to produce. Ads offset the cost of production and help the hotel properties bottom line, so really it's a win/ win.
Technically true that you could walk out of an assignment without a commission.. if you stink at sales. My experience is that most advertisers renew, and understand that prices do go up. Just like the other cost they incur doing business.
So, bottom line is that Uniguest is a 20 year old business that does a good job at what they do. High turnover is common in sales. Especially these days, when everyone looks for easy money and there is so much hype about "sky's the limit" commissions. Unfortunately sales is a dying profession, overcrowded with people that lack the true drive it takes to hit doors day after day to make it happen. And then they cry about being ripped off.

Advertisers above have met our
strict standards for business conduct.
