I was a deployed U.S. Service member who was on and off of active duty after 9/11 by the Air National Guard Unit in Alaska. I'd attended the seminar earlier in the year of 2002, around April to be precise, paid my entry fee and soon after discovered that I was on a deployment list and was pending activation. I called to cancel and was told that not only would I get a refund of themoney paid to that point, but I'd get the deposit back as well because I never used the system.

With that information in mind, I continued on my deployment thinking things were fine and I was going to get my appropriate refunds. However, while I was gone I later learned that they were still extracting money from my account! I tried to call them from my location, but couldn't reach them because of the time difference and my messages went unheeded. they finally stopped in September of 2003. When I'd gotten back in December, I tried repeatedly to talk to someone about my unique situation and get a refund, if it was still possible...I finally had the opportunity to talk to a Mr. John Hurley who I'd been told was a manager and I later found out he is a little more than that.

He was unmoved by my story and rather rude when I'd mentioned that I thought I deserved a refund from the company because of the circumstances involved. He told me that what I would receive would be a refund of about four months to which I replied was unacceptable and I reminded him of my previous conversations with his workers to which he became even more rude and told me that was his offer, take it or leave it. When I calmly asked to please speak with his boss, he said that he was the ONLY one I was going to speak to concerning this matter and hung up. I've called and tried to talk to other personnel and requested a manager, but he tends to intercept my calls and treat me in the same disrespectful way as before.
