I am a beneficiary of a former employee of Unisys.  He, my father, worked for them for over 20 years and named me as the beneficiary on an insurance policy and his retirement.  I have called them four times over the past 3 months and each time I'm told that they have to research my claim and they will contact me in 10 business days.  My father passed away in April, 2011. This is an obvious stall tactic.  Each time I call I get someone in India who can barely speak English.

They appear to be reading from a script because they say the same thing each time I call.  My last call was on 7/21/11 and I spoke with someone named Maria.  I asked for her last name or identification number and she refused to give it citing that she was the only Maria.  After she gave me the same line about having to do research, I asked how long that takes.  She replied that it took 4-6 weeks.

I pointed out that it had been 4 months and she said she would escalate it and turn it over to her manager.  She put me on hold while leaving me to believe that she had discussed it with her manager.  I asked for the manager's name and pressed for more information. She then revealed that she hadn't really talked to anyone but put notes in the system.  Each time I called they mentioned putting a note in the system.

I have been lied to and given the run-a-round now for 4 months.  I tried to google their address and contact info but there are so many.  I don't have any documents with policy numbers and they refuse to give me any information.  They confirmed that I am a beneficiary but refuse to give me the amount. Could someone advise me as to which organization I should contact to get help.
