In 1997, Army Sgt. Maj. Gene McKinney was court martialed and was forced to step down for fraternization and alleged sexual harrassment, which appeared to be more a case of the woman being caught cheating and claiming it was unwanted attention. However, just a few years earlier, in 1992, I had to report LTC d**k Krauss for violating Procedure 15 of AR 381-10, Rules for the Collection of Intelligence. He had directed me to use an intelligence operation to enrich individuals monetarily.

An Article 32 investigation ensued and it was amazing how many people came out of the woodwork with their own horror stories of this cocky, arrogant blow-hard who made up his own rules. (Just an example of how out-of-touch he is from reality, a good friend of mine, a warrant officer, was put on administrative leave for questioning the safety of several of d**k's directive. We ALL scratched our heads trying to figure out which loose screw had fallen out. The only thing we could figure out is that the K-Meister, as we called him had watched to many TV police dramas. You see, there is no such punishment known as "administrative leave" like they had on Miami Vice. This often happens with unexperienced officers who are tapped to command units with active intelligence operatives.

Anyway, one operative who had been assigned to d**k Krauss' unit in Berlin reported that d**k had a "long-standing" affair with a subordinate enlisted woman. She once bragged that she didn't sleep with anyone under the rank of LTC, while sporting a new watch. Well, d**k was also married which also a violation of the adultery statute. The Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Inspector General's Office investigated the report and it was swept under the carpet because it was learned that the floozy that had slept with Krauss was then engaged to be married to General Scanlon's Aide. Imagine the embarrassment. Everyone knew but the young Captain.

Bottom line, d**k escaped any punishment and I was mortified when they held Gene McKinney to a different standard. However, it gets worse. I had been accused of espionage by my ex-wife and property was taken by the Army, which they will not return. I was also denied a security clearance because of lies told to the investigators by LTC d**k Krauss, which prevented me from getting a DIA job. I should add that the conspiracy between my ex-wife and John Thornock, General Counsel, DIA contributed significantly. I shall report more on this later.

I got Senator John Kyl involved in assisting me. In referring to the investigation of Krauss, Senator Kyl wrote a letter to INSCOM. Not surprisingly, the INSCOM Chief of Staff, COL William H. Marvin, mislead the Senator, telling him that there was no record of an investigation of d**k, but confirmed the espionage investigation of me. What a bunch of mendacious sycophants. He and d**k could have been shower buddies.

I have suffered professionally from the injustices of these individuals. Please make them pay. Why should Gene McKinney be singled out? Just because he is black?

Just Laughing at Your Expense!

It suddenly dawned on me where you got Simmons. You confused your Genes. I guess the "N" in RANGER really is for "NOWLEDGE."

Keep Head Bangin' Troop! (That's a Gene Simmons allusion, in case you are having trouble keeping up.)

This email is a rebuttal to RipOff #6235.
It was sent by Retired Ranger at Ranger@FtBragg.mil.

United States Army injustices, discrimination, LTC Krauss, Fraternization with d**k : Why Does the Army Protect the White Officer and Prosecute the Black Enlisted (#6235)

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:

Their email: Ranger@FtBragg.mil
Their name: Retired Ranger

Their relationship to the company: Supporter

Rebuttal:
What has gotten totally lost in this rambling tirade is the fact that the people in question are the VERY visible Sergeant Major of the Army and a Lieutenant Colonel. For the civilians among the many readers, let me point out that an LTC may indeed out-rank the SGM, but in point of fact the LTC is merely a battalion commander (maybe), while the SGM in question is the SGM of the whole $%&&&*## US Army. He generally answers to the
SecArmy as well as the Chief of Staff. He wouldn't waste his time on a mere LTC. Never happen, GI. In fact, if this is the same Simmons I believe it to be, he was rightfully addressed as CSM - Command Sergeant Major.

But I digress. Let's move to Management 101, leadership by example. It seems both were guilty of lack of common sense above all else, but again, who is more likely to end up on the 18:00 news? Not some LTC squirrled away in some dark S2 shop someplace. It's the SGM in Washington. Makes perfect sense to me. Happens everyday. Just ask our former President.

And from there, you want to play the race card? Please! Go back and read my comment about Clinton. And not only that, there's also a great conspiracy afoot directed at you? Are you kidding?

So, let's clear the air here for the rest of the readers. The only difference between a fairy tale and a "war story", is that the fairy tale starts off with "once upon a time" and the war story begins with "there I was..." Funny, I'm having trouble differentiating between those, and your story above. Typical leg BS.

Further Air Clearing

First, I never mentioned a Simmons, but McKinney. Sorry, different people. Granted we are discussing things before civilians so I addressed him as the Army's Sgt. Maj. that would not be CSM but SMA(Sergeant Major of the Army) Gene McKinney. This may before your time because it was way back in 1997. So you may not know about it.

The purpose of this expose is not for general philosophical discussions with disinterested parties, like this one, but to stop unethical behavior in the U.S. Army. I cited specific incidents, identifying the culprits. You have made gratuitous assertions about my report. I challenge them. Do your homework. Prove my statements wrong. If you know anything about logic you know that I am under no obligation to respond to gratuitous assertions. I shall merely dismiss them just as gratuitously. I don't care about your opinion about this report. You know what opinions are like...
