Wow, please avoid this so-called company, I'd be surprised if they just get your personal information and take all your money. In the interview they gave the complete blah-blah on how much potential you woudl make, but when I asked specifically on how much agents made, I was not given an answer. I asked about specifics on how agents are paid and what the process is, and again was not given credible information, just graphs and drawings. When I pointed out inconsistencies with the graphs and drawings, they were not shown again and the interview took a different tone.

Simply, do not waste your time and effort. Seems some have and the results have been disastrous. The poster who says has been there 4 years and its like family, nothing credible when no facts and just opinion given.

UA isn't for everyone

To the OP:

At United American your salary equals your worth. You're paid on commission.

I'm an agent - at my branch, my branch manager will pay $750 a week to any agent who can't make that much themselves, provided that they follow a few steps...making calls, appointments, collecting business cards, etc.

He does that because he's confident that anyone who puts in the minimum of work is going to make more than $750 a week. Personally, I make that much in a day on good days. Not every day of course - it all depends on my appointments and the needs of my clients.

But you will make as much money as you're worth for as hard as you work. That's why the turnover at UA is so high...there's a lot of folks who think that they're worth more than they are, and can't pay the bills with the little bit of work that they put into it.

Go find yourself a desk job where you'll get paid to sit and surf the internet; you don't get that at UA. =p

#1 Consumer Suggestion

What do you base YOUR information on??

AUTHOR: Consider The Source - (U.S.A.)

I was researching this company for a friend of mine who has a policy when I found some of these comments, and it amazes me. For example, this report. You speak of opinions and graphs is what the company gave you. What are you giving in your report---OPINION. Define the following: "many have, and it was disastrous." What do you base that on? Obviously if you feel like you weren't treated fairly, you have the right to be angry. I just found it ironic that you were doing the very thing that you were accusing them of. Good luck in your job search. A word to people reading this: There are always 3 sides to each story, both people's side, and the right side. Don't just take opinion. Do you own research. Form your own conclusions. Check with reputable sources, not company spokesmen, but state agencies, etc.

Good luck!
