Okay, so when I went to purchase an SUV my husband and I had credit that was so-so. I found the Durango that I really wanted and UAC told me that they would finance me at, are you ready for this, 21% interest. They told me that I could look elsewhere for a loan but no one would give me one, so really wanting the SUV, I did it.

Mind you that one week later my husband went to a different dealer and got a loan of 8%, still high but much better than 21%. I have had nothing but headaches for the past three years that I have dealt with this company.

They have a "no grace period policy" and if my payment is due on the 16th they are calling me on that afternoon if it is not there. They are rude and nasty and they will call and give out my personal information to anyone they can. They even sent someone to my home to "speak to me" but they had the payment in their office the whole time, they just did not post it to my account. They representative told my babysitter why he was there and that my payment was 10 days past due, my 15 year old babysitter. I have never been more than 5 days late on the loan, EVER!

They don't make it easy to pay either. No web site for online payments, no phone payments (although I think I just read that they are adding these features but I bet its at a pretty high fee), all they ever say is to use Western Union because regular mail is not fast enough. I hate this company and their horrible customer service reps.

If you are trying to purchase a vehicle and this is the finance company they are trying to get your loan through, WALK AWAY!! It is not worth it. If this scam of a company will give you a loan, another one out there will too. My husband and I are trying to get our credit in order so I can trade in the SUV and get a different finance company.
