United Benefits Of America, LLC Lied to sell insurance. Will not respond to phone calls. Brentwood Tennessee

A sales agent named Mrs. Cleveland responded to an internet inquiry about insurance for people with pre-existing conditions. She lied and stated that I would be covered immediately and that her company specialized in insurance for people like me. Her company put together a package of five policies from three different companies. They charged me an enrollment fee plus the first month's premiums for each policy. That amounted to $1,379.97. The monthly premiums would be $759.97. That would cover my wife and I.

I was told that I would have a 30 day period to evaluate the 5 policies and that an agent would call me in 20 days to review the policies, give us orientation and answer any questions. That should have appened on January 16th, 2009. No one called.

I let it go a few days and tried to call them at the number they had given me.I got a voice mail and left a message. I have been calling repeatedly for about 8 days. No one will talk to me and no one will call me back.

The policies state that If we have consulted a physician, or been advised by a physician, or have been treated or diagnosed for a pre-existing condition, during the past two years, the companies will not cover such conditions for one year. The agent told a complete lie to sell the policy.

I finally faxed a cancellation to each of the companies who are providers and filed complaints through the PA and TN insurance commissions. They are mostly ineffective state bureaucrasies that do little or nothing to justify their existances, but I wanted a complaint on-file.

United Benefits of America, LLC appears to be a scam. Check them out very carefully before doing business with them.
