I recieved a letter from UNITED FINANCIALS informing me that I was the "lucky winner of an unclaimed price money (actual spelling) in the amount of Fiftyseven Thousand Dollars(57,000.00) in United States funds".

"enclosed, is a check for ($3,984.30) which covers both the administrative, Taxes and Clearance fees of your winnings."

They include a telephone number (1-514-815-7621) and to contact Nadia Chambers. I contacted this individual and was told to call back on the next business day and she would direct me where to go here in Ontario. I took my cheque to the bank and explained all of this to the manager and they are currently looking into it. I then called Nadia six times and recieved her voice box which was currently full. I don't know many businesses that would have a full message center at 11:00 am especially when dealing with something this big. Finally got in touch with Nadia and the very first thing she said was "did you deposit the cheque yet"? I told her that I had and she was then very concerned as to whether I had access to it right away. I informed her that my bank manager did not believe her cheque to be real and he was holding it. At this time she put me on hold for several minutes and then came back to transfer me to her accounting dept. and they would help me out. The phone went dead and I have not been able to contact her since.
I am guessing that I was supposed to have cashed the $3,984.30 cheque and sent Nadia the money to cover my $57,000 winnings. I also suspect that while I am waiting for my $57,000 to arrive, which it never will, I would recieve a phone call from my bank informing me that I owe them $3984.30 for a bounced cheque.
