United Marketing Group - Pasta N More Attempt to charge credit card for unauthorized services when ordering item from TV ad Schaumburg Illinois

My wife called Pasta N More using a number given on a TV commercial to order a item for $19.95. She gave a credit card number as requested. At the end of the order the automated message quickly said, "If you don't call 1*888*673-1305 and cancel, you will be billed $24.95 each month on your credit card for membership in UMG."

She never requested a membership in anything. I called the number which we were fortunate that she wrote down, and was told to call back in 72 hours if I wanted to cancel, otherwise, we would be charged each month.

I called Pasta N More who said it was a promotion and automatically other companies grabbed your credit card information and they have nothing to do with it. I do not believe that. They are all in this together and it is fraud. They should all be put out of business and this practice should result in jail time for the thieves involved. I canceled the credit card.
