Do NOT do business with this company!!!  Their reports are extremely difficult to use.   There is no end to the contract even though you only sign a 2 year contract...it AUTOMATICALLY renews every year.  Once you cancel the service, even though it is past the initial two year contact, you are charged $295.00 for a cancellation fee that is abruptly deducted from your account.  They claim that this fee is charged it you don't use their cancellation notice which you are not told about when you call to cancel the service.  The Form is nothing short of keeping their nose in your business where it requires you to have your new Merchant Processor complete the UMPA form in order to avoid the $295.00 fee.  In otherwords, they extort $295.00 from you should you choose to go elsewhere to process your Credit Cards and don't feel that they need to know where you took your business.

Merchant processing

AUTHOR: D. Seltzer - ()

POSTED: Monday, July 14, 2014

United Merchant Processing Association has an outstanding customer service department, with over 30 years of combined experience.  Our Customer Service Team contacts every merchant who submits a cancelation request and advises them to avoid a cancellation fee, the 0100 form needs to be fully completed and returned.  This policy is properly disclosed and outlined within each signed merchant agreement.

Advancing Alternatives was provided the 0100 form via fax.  They refused to complete and return the form. Had they done so, they would not have been charged the cancelation fee.  It was their choice.  The 0100 cancellation form protects the merchant from a new processor who may mislead and misrepresent, just to gain their account.  their merchant account.  If their new processor will not sign the cancellation form, then maybe they have something to hide.  The 0100 cancellation form also portects UMPA from releasing the merchant from their agreement.

Advancing Alternatives claims "this fee is charged if you don't use their cancellation notice, which you are not told about when you call to cancel the service".  This is false.  If this was a true statement, how would have Advanced Alternatives known to expect the cancellation form via fax?   When their file was reviewed, the fax transmission  document accompnaied the form.

Advancing Alternatives had a choice and they made a conscience decision not to complete the form.

Sincerely,

Dee Seltzer

President
