I used to be an assistant office manager for united air comfort , my office managers name was damon ballard , on a daily basis we were given the instuctions of " go out and make money."

every morning they have a teleconference with the berch brothers talking trash to every one in a certain region. All employees are told to sit down and watch and listen to them. The daily topic is usually some new form of easy fix and high charge scam that they have concocted for the unquallified technicians to use in the feild on a daily basis. They prep you on every scare tactic that you can, and should according to them, use on all customers they send you to that day.

The most common of their tricks is to tell you that your duct system has leaks in it that are causing your system to become contaminated, upon finding anything you are instructed to open up the customers a/c unit and look around (as if the 5 days of classroom time they give you makes you an HVAC/R expert). They tell you to try to sell potential customers 1000% markup services that do absolutely nothing. services ranging from a duct sanitizing (spraying pinesol into the ducts) to a coil cleaning ($200 at our shop minimum), then you get into the actual technical side of the work. They have two technicians on call for feild reps to call when they get stumped. As an employee you have to be berated by these two men while you are trying to hustle your customer into paying the outragious prices that they tell you to charge them. They try to walk you through the problem while you are talking to them on the phone and then just b4 you hang up the phone you are told "hey be sure to sell them some MASTIC SEALS, which are nothing more than foil tape and spray glue covered in a caulcing solution that you are instructed to charge 20 each for. They rip off customers for a living and to take it one step further they are told if they dont have any money try to trade them for some cool stuff that you see , if they dont have any cool stuff ask them if they can get some drugs.....
this company needs to be stopped they change the rates that tehy pay the poor people that are suckered into working for them so often that it is impossible for anyone to get what they are entitled to or were told that they would be making
i started off at this company because i thought it would be an easy thing for me to learn due to prior electrical working experience and due to my knowledge in that feild i was hired and made a trainer in less than 3 weeks. After taking the trainers position i was offered an assistant managers fob with the nashville office. I accepted the new position and was introduced to the real workings of the company. I quit the following week. After not hearing anything for a week I returned to the office to get my last pay check and was asked by the office manager Damon Ballard to help him out with a unit they were having problems with and he would pay me in cash for my time. Reluctantly i accepted and fixed the unit . i returned to the shop to collect my money only to find the office locked and when i called the number for the office it was disconnected.
