Receiving a request for payment from a federal agency is always a RED FLAG when mailed to the home address. I knew when started to read the "IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION REGARDING YOUR FEDERAL TRADEMARK" that this was probably a scam.  Federal Agencies do not warn you that a license is up for renewal. 

These scams seem to originate in Los Angeles many times.  The State Government offices are in Sacramento which is another RED FLAG.    So buyer beware! In business, one must always be cautious!
