United Trust sent a letter with a check drawn on a business in New York and drawn on First Nigara Bank. The check was for $2498 and they informed me this was the amount I needed to sent back as part of the redemption of $49,000 that I won in a sweeptakes contest. The check was real but came back frandulent....I became somewhat bothered because I know if you actually win something most fees are deducted up front and you receive the difference. After numberous calls to Canada which is the number they gave, the voice message said the party I was trying to reach not available at this time. Also I called the number on the check for the business and received the same recording. I was glad I left the money in my bank untouched as I had bad feelings about the whole thing from the beginning but th9ught maybe fate was at hand.
