United Windows Always do your homework before buying no matter what saleman tell you(THEY CAN BE LIARS) Commerce California

Me and my husband were considering replacing new windows in our home and I saw an ad with United Windows in it so I decided to call. Mr. Jonathan Bloom (the owner of the company) came out the following day and gave me his whole presentation. He seemed very nice, told me that he manufactured his own windows, was licensed and bonded, his installers all had workers compensations so if there was any type of accident that I would be covered. I felt that this was a good company and I would let him know after I talked to my husband when he got home.

Right after Jonathan left my house, my sister called me and I told her that United Windows just left and I think I was planning on signing a contract. She asked me if I did my research and I said No but he is licensed and bonded and everything sounded good. I forget that 5 years ago she went through a horrible experience along with 7 other people where a man sold her windows and a kitchen. They all ended up with liens on their houses because the owner of this company never paid the workers, the job never got finished, he had no license or bond and he walked away with over $125,000 of these people's money because he decided he would rather keep the money then finish the job. Thank God this man is now behind bars for 15 years.

Anyways, the second I got off the phone with my sister, she started doing her research. I've always called her the Nancy Drew of the family because she found out that Jonathan did lie about almost everything. United Windows is not licensed and the reason being is because his partner isn't paying child support so the Contractors State License Board will not issue them one. They do not have workers compensation nor are they bonded. My favorite part is if you drive by the building where they supposedly build their windows, its a different company. We walked in and talked to the lady at the front and ask where Jonathon's office was and it was just a small office and she also told me that they make his windows. She made a joke saying which company did he use ( United, Payless, Vinyl Window Factory). So I guess he uses a few different names which means he must be hiding something.

Everything was really shocking to me that he seemed so honest. But then my sister did more research and found out that Jonathan is a convicted felon for a drug crime and spent 5 years in prison.
