Universal Mortgage's Search for Mark Rhoades
Because Universal Mortgage & Finance has never received an application from or funded a loan for a Mark Rhoades, who claims to be in foreclosure in Bowie, Maryland, we decided to search for the phantom Mr. Rhoades. Here's what we found:
1. According to the Maryland Judiciary Case Search, a free search engine at http://casesearch.courts.state.md.us/inquiry/inquiry-index.jsp, there is no active foreclosure proceeding against anyone named Mark Rhoades in Bowie or anywhere else in Maryland.
2. We thought that interesting and searched for Mark Rhoades on www.whitepages.com and, while we found 26 listings for Mark Rhoades, not a single one resides in Bowie, Maryland or anywhere near Bowie.
Mr. Rhoades, we believe, is a fictitious person, invented by a disgruntled and dishonest former employee to harm our business and our reputation. Mr. Rhoades knows where Universal Mortgage is located but we cannot seem to locate him.
Fair is still fair in America, even though internet sites like this one provide an anonymous means for a coward to fabricate and spread damaging accusations against a reputable firm, which is left to shadow box in defense of its hard earned reputation. We invite Mr. Rhoades to contact Universal Mortgage directly or, at minimum, to stand up and disclose his true identity. We are convinced that neither will happen. We will not hear from Mr. Rhoades because he doesn't exist and we will not learn his true identity because cowards don't operate out in the open.
Let's see who is right.
