We saw the ad that said if we "made more than $350 a week then you're approved". My daughter makes $1200 a week so we figured we'd qualify. We were told by the salesman that if we just got down there we'd "drive off with a car". So we brought the paperwork he asked for. Then he lied and told us we did not have a FICO score. Which I have since pulled our credit reports and we do have a FICO score. So he told us this in order to justify needing more of a down payment then we had and to charge us 28% interest on the loan. When we went to the finance department - we were told that if we agreed to waive the cooling off period and if we bought gap insurance - then they would not come back on the loan and the deal would be solid. So we did. We gave them $1000 down and agreed to pay $2000 in 30 days. They have 10 days under California law to come back and tell us there's a problem with the financing - which during those first 10 days they kept insisting that everything was fine. But they waited until 28 days to tell us there was a problem. I said I wasn't going to cover the other $2000 until we got things clarified - but they tried to cash the checks anyway and then demanded the car back. They would call us from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. which is illegal. They would use blocked numbers, different phone numbers and then refuse to identify themselves which is also illegal. They discussed financial affairs of ours with other people who is also a violation of her right to privacy. They refused to give us anything in writing. They have absolutely no regard for the law or our rights whatsoever. They even promised us a $25 gift card from Amazon if we did a test drive - which we did but we never got the gift card either. When we called the police to find out where it was towed - they told us they didn't even have the right paperwork to have legal title to have sold us the car in the first place. Probably because they've sold it so many times they're losing track - because that's the same. They have sold this 2013 car over four times according to the Carfax and then brought it back each time within two weeks. So clearly they are recycling this car for down payment money. We've asked for the $1,000 down back and they just keep saying they "want to talk to us about returning the car" but then we never hear anything else. So clearly they're trying to make it appear as if they're doing something. They also illegally repossessed the car and tore up our yard doing so. Then they highjacked our medications for $400 cash. This place is a total scam - stay away!
