Universal rent a car Green motion On August 4, 2015 I Shane Duffy rented a car at universal rent a car as my personal car was in a accident I was told by the agent Sid there was a 300.00 dollar security deposit to be paid as I didn't have funds on my credit card .  Toronto

I gave the 300.00 dollar security deposit in cash and was told I would receive it back in full 35 days after the rental car was returned . On August 20, 2015 I returned the rental and waited the 35 days . I phoned Sid the agent and asked if they had the money I was told to call back on October 10, 2015 because the accountant guy wasn't in til then. So I called back on October 10, 2015 And was told Sid wasn't in and he would call me back . I waited called Sid and he said he was not in the office he was dealing with a couple of things and he would call me back later . I waited called him and texted him and no answer the next day I called him he answers and says his phone died I say ok and ask him for the 300.00 he says he is out of town and will be back on the Tuesday . Tuesday comes I phone him and text ask for the money he says I will get it I ask him when he doesn't answer I ask if I can meet him no answer . I phone the company number and find out that Sid is no longer employed . I have spoken to the owner of the company Sonny and he says to contact Sid cause Sid did not put the security deposit in the company system 

 

 

Hi my name is Shane On August 4, 2015 I rented a car from universal rent a car as my personal vechile was In a accident. I didn't have enough funds on my credit card so the agent Sid said there would be a 300.00 dollar security deposit required that I would get returned to me 35 days after the rental car was returned. On August 20, 2015 I returned the rental car and waited the 35 days. On September 24, 2015 I called Sid and asked if he had the refund and he told me to call back on October 10, 2015 because there accountant wasn't in til then. So I called back and Sid said he wasn't in the office and he was out on the road dealing with a few things and he would call me later. I waited called Sid back and told him I could meet him and he said he would call me back. I waited again and called and texted back several times and no response. The next day I call Sid and he says his phone died he says he's in Oshawa with family and he will be back In Toronto on the Tuesday. I waited called him and texted him Tuesday no answer. I called the company number and they tell me Sid is no longer employed there. I ask to speak to the owner and the owner says to contact Sid.
