Looking to work for Universal Taxi in Addison? Well think again. They say you could make hundred of dollars a day! Not even close! After paying a $78.00 lease fee for the taxi plus gas for the crappy beat up taxi's with bald tires try may $50! and thats after spending 12 or more hours out there. The employees at the office are a joke as well. They have crappy attitudes and only know 2 words. Fine and Suspension, especially the black lady who works the front window. I wont mention her name. They make you pay that lease fee by 6 AM everday & if you haven't paid they will call you at 4:30 in the morning asking for it and if your late there are fines. The office manager will tell you all sorts of positive things but believe me there is nothing positive about this company and the atmosphere there is the worst. They prey on people that are hurting because of the economy and everyone needs to be warned about this aweful company. They also do not give you a copy of the contract. When you give notice they make you pay for an additonal 7 days lease and when I gave notice on a Monday the office manager never replied to my phone messages or my several emails until wednesday. Then they said they require a signature & I emailed and left phone messages for the office manager asking why he didnt respond to my Monday messages? So now they will not back date the regnation form to monday when I first notified them. This place is just a total dishonest and crooked place. Pass the word around to anyone and everyone and most of the customers. Use American Taxi or 303 cabs.
