I was contacted by a representative from Universal Timeshares SA to re-sell my timeshare. I was told that for $2,500 they would sell my timeshare within 90 days for $95,000. This occurred in May 2012.
Since that time I have contacted them (after the expiration of 90 days) on numerous occaisions and the message has always been the same, they have a prospective buyer and they are in the process of obtaining financing. This has gone on for 6 months.
This is one of the biggest ripoffs on the web. Someone needs to shut them down entirely before they scam even more people. I questions if they have ever re-sold any listing they have taken money for.

There are lots of reports here about Universal Timeshares, next time, never pay an up-front fee in an effort to sell your timeshare! whether the fee is called an appraisal fee, a market analysis fee, a marketing fee, an advertising fee or some other type of fee. I know a company called Mexican Timeshare Solutions that can give you a free consultation on your issue, this is their website:
